New releases for the week of February 8, 2011

It's a super strong release for indie artists with ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead, Akron/Family, and Cut Copy leading the way (the latter's Zonoscope is pictured at left). Of course, Wires Under Tension, Nicole Atkins, and Joan of Arc are also worth getting excited about. Strangely, it's a quiet week for major label releases, but don't put them off completely, because La Roux's EP Gold Edition comes out this week. Though in a bit of a shocker, this one might just be digital only!

Kimberly Cole wants to "Smack You"

I don't know how we missed the video for Kimberly Cole's "Smack You" last week, but we're certainly going to try to make up for lost time by posting it this week! Parts of it are almost like something out of Fight Club but mixed with the cast of Oxygen's Bad Girls Club. Check it out above.

Suuns get NSFW on new video

There's definitely some nudity being flashed on the new video for Suuns "Pie IX." Despite the rather risque showing, the concept of this video is totally cool. We certainly recommended checking it out above--but you might want to avoid looking at it from your office computer! (Also don't forget that the band are soon to be touring with The Black Angels.)

PRINCE & CEE-LO GREEN
