A statement from Boris

We've avoided talking about the tragedy that occurred last week in Japan. However, it is hard to ignore the events that have transpired, and the effects on the incredible talent coming out of the Japanese music scene. Drone metal act Boris have recently issued a statement about the events unfolding:
Boris expresses our condolences to everyone who passed away because of current unexpected earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, and also our deepest sympathies for all of the people who have a hard time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them.

All Boris members, our families and staff are safe now. Thank you very much for kind words and thoughtful messages.

It's a small piece of good news to hear the band and their families are safe. In other Boris related news, the band's two albums, Attention Please and Heavy Rocks, both now have a street date of May 24 (pushed back from April 26).

Donations to aid the disaster relief efforts in Japan are being taken by the American Red Cross HERE, or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 for a $10 donation.
