Everyone always says that they miss the good ol' days in New York when the Lower East Side was still gritty...or when Williamsburg was still gritty...pick your favorite neighborhood and add the word "gritty." Well, there are still places on the fringes of this City where true artists play. For instance, Human Host performs tonight at Paul Shaffer House, which is way the fuck up there in the Bronx. It'll be worth the subway trip just to get a REAL New York experience of seeing a true indie show.

That show in the Bronx looks good but hard to say no to Black Lips/Ballzy DIY show.
