They Might Be Giants | Music Hall of Williamsburg | October 28, 2009

The incomparable duo of John Flansburgh and John Linnell comprise They Might Be Giants, and the two took to the stage with their full band at Music Hall of Williamsburg last night. Oddly, the band wasn't in the headlining slot, despite clearly being the biggest draw of the night. Maybe this had something to do with the fact that the show was a benefit for the Northside Town Hall, a proposed community center in northern Williamsburg. Just because they weren't on last, didn't stop the two Johns from delivering a fantastically lengthy set spanning almost their entire career. The performance included a song or two from their sophomore release made the set, numbers from their new science oriented album, and a piece from Flansburgh's old solo effort, Mono Puff.
