They Might Be Giants played a show for kids in Prospect Park (Celebrate Brooklyn)

They Might Be Giants | Prospect Park | July 11, 2009

Several years ago, They Might Be Giants took a step from alterna-rock to children's songs. It was a strange move, but it actually made sense in many ways. Considering they played several songs from their past releases alongside material from their kids' albums, the two styles mix well. The only downfall of the show for tikes is that while the band do play hits like "Particle Man" and "Doctor Worm," they shy away from many other songs. Check out more photos from the show below, and keep your ears open for the band's new children's album, Here Comes Science, which they announced will be released later this year. |
