Sarah Lipstate leaves Parts and Labor

Parts and Labor has lost their guitarist; it was announced today that Sarah Lipstate will be leaving the band. Considering they were a three member band for many years before Lipstate's signing, it shouldn't be too painful for the noisy act to cope with the loss. The band will be playing (without Sarah) on Saturday, July 11 at the Market Hotel. The official statement from Parts and Labor is after the jump...

Some sad news from the Parts & Labor front: Sarah Lipstate has left the band. We've reached this conclusion equanimously; Sarah will be focusing more on her killer solo project, Noveller, as well as her film making (check out a screening of her work at NY Eye and Eye Fest this Saturday afternoon, at the 92Y Tribeca). We wish her the best!

We'll be playing (as an old school three-piece) a rad benefit for Showpaper and Article Magazine this Saturday night at the Market Hotel. The show includes a slew of our buddies: Big Bear, Child Bite, Fiasco, and will assuredly kick proverbial ass. Details you know where.
