Alec Ounsworth (from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah) signs with Anti-

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah made a splash by self-releasing their 2005 debut and shocked folks by snubbing labels for their 2007 follow-up. Frontman Alec Ounsworth is now working on a solo release, and the odd thing about it is that it will actually be released on a label, Anti- Records. The solo debut, Mo Beauty, is slated to hit street on October 20.

How have we come to a point where an artist releasing a record on a label is actually stranger than self-releasing the album? Is that really the state of the music industry these days? The track listing for Mo Beauty is after the jump.

Mo Beauty track list:
1. Modern Girl ( . . . with scissors)
2. Bones in the Grave
3. Holy, Holy, Holy Moses (song for New Orleans)
4. That is not my Home (after Bruegel)
5. Idiots in the Rain
6. South Philadelphia (Drug Days)
7. What Fun.
8. Me and You, Watson
9. Obscene Queen Bee #2
10. When You've No Eyes
