Why I'm thinking that the new Matt & Kim video is faked...

Okay, so the new video for Matt & Kim's "Lessons Learned" features the duo wandering around Times Square like awe-struck tourists, except they are naked. Every time someone posts this video on a website, the comments usually transcend into a debate on if the video is real or not. Well, the duo are certainly in Times Square, but based on a few hints, I'm guessing they aren't actually naked.

1) Has anyone seen an unedited version of this video? If so, please post it on Youtube...or, heck, a few still shots would be nice. I mean, don't get me wrong; they are still missing most of their clothes, but I suspect they had tiny coverings over their crotches and Kim's nipples. Speaking of which...

2) Kim's blurred back. Really, there's no reason to blur her back unless it's concealing some kind of flesh-toned strap.

3) The cops ignore the camera(s). I don't think I've ever seen cops completely ignoring a camera. In this case, you not only had the camera focuses on Matt & Kim, but also of shocked tourists taking photos or video of their own.

4) Where's the jail time? I hope public nudity is only a fine, but in this video they're also resisting arrest, which has a much heavier sentence (at least I think it would). Though they did cancel a few tour dates a while back, I don't think the timing adds up.

5) The ending. I don't want to ruin it, but it proves at least part of this whole thing was staged.

I also don't want to suggest this is a bad video. On the contrary, the video is amazing. I'm just questioning if Matt & Kim are actually naked. Right now I'm leaning towards the fact that they are not, but I'm ready to see someone prove me wrong!

Plus, isn't their promo photo a picture of them jumping off one of the bridges? I doubt they really did that either...

obviously it's not a real video...she gets hit by a bus at the end. i'm not sure if they were really naked or not, but it was still a good video

Of course it's fake... I pity you if you thought it was real.

Is Kim a dude or just a really ugly chick? I think they blurred Kim's chest so you wouldn't find out he was a guy

Of course the bus part was faked, but the duo have (recently) stated that they were naked. The nakedness is the part I'm questioning.

Why question the nakedness? It's a good video, that's it.

Nothing is real anymore anyway.

If the video was real the tourist would have put pic on the internet or sold them to a news paper or something...

The music video was shot in Times Square in February. They had permits and the people on the street were actors, but the cops actually did tackle them at the end of the video.

I love how the mystery of this is slowly unfolding comment by comment.

I don't know about the laws in New York, but in Texas if you are nude in a video or picture with children present that amounts to a felony, and their are at least one or two kids in this video. So, my guess is this is fake.

There are a lot of angles in this video, a lot of spinning from both the camera, and Matt and Kim. I imagine it would've been a lot easier to blur Kim the whole time rather than figure out amidst the spinning and angles when to blur and when not to so she isn't exposed. They've said in multiple interviews that they were actually naked. You can see the apprehension on Kim's face, and the cops are not real. They come in just as the music changes a bit. They weren't doing anything aggressive or harmful to others, so I assume they went unharmed for their nudity, especially considering it was done tastefully, and in an artistic manner. Keep in mind this video is slowed down, so this was surely a much quicker affair than we see.

It's a real video, I was there. They were completely naked. And in a tell-all interview, the said that they h ad permits to basically be walking in Times Square with clothing inappropriate for the weather, and told the police ahead of time. The arrest part was also real, but the cameraman showed the permit behind his camera during the shot, making the cops get up and leave. One stayed around and was genuinely concerned over whether or not he had ruined the shot.
